My Flying Routine

Take the time and spend the money to get Global Entry. It gives you TSA Precheck, which is definitely worth it. And it makes travelling internationally much easier.

I usually take at least one extra pair of shoes and an extra belt so I need a suitcase that can fit that and my clothes. You also have to pack a lot more clothing if you are going to a cold destination.

I always check one bag. Mainly because I put my toiletries in that suitcase. I make sure that I do not go over 50lbs.

Lately I have doing the American Airlines Admirals club. But I think in 2023 I am going to do the Amex lounges.

Best money spend ever. Go to the lounge early and get food and a drink and then go to the gate when it is time to board and it makes the experience so much better than having to sit at the gate for an hour before you board your flight.

Take it through security and then fill it up with water or water else you want. You can also bring an empty container and fill it with snacks from the Admirals club for the flight.

Most of the airlines are getting rid or the TV screens in the seat. Bring your own iPad and earpods. Or bring a book to read. I always bring my Kindle and read.

I hate having to crawl over people to use the restroom. I just want to get up and go.

Get status with an airline.

Save up and pay for a first class seat. The extra space is worth it.

You never know what the temperature on the plane will be.

Take a backpack or carry up and put all your snacks in it.

I arrived back from Alaska at 1:30AM and then had to get an Uber/Lyft. Not fun.

I don't care if you take a train/taxi or have a friend pick you up from the airport. Plan out your transportation plan ahead of time.
