My Perfect Everyday Carry Tool would have....
I'm the type of person that carries gadgets practically every single day. As such, we often try to come up with what would be the "ultimate" design. Pretty sure this lofty goal is unachievable. But that never prevents me from trying. This list of desirable features is flexible. It is what would work for me today.

Easier to maintain AND re-sharpen an edge.
2. One piece construction
No folding, hinged, springs, or other elements to introduce weak points and create stressors,
3. Wearable.
So you are never without it. Probably as a flattish necklace pendant.
4. Sharpened knife blade
5. Magnifying glass
6. Slots to use as a water wrench
7. Flashlight
maybe
8. Carrying Sheath
This could fit into a pocket or be worn around the neck.
9. Wood saw
Maybe forged in. Maybe with a holder for a cable saw.
10. Slotted scewdriver
With a smallish tip it can be used for both slotted and phillips screws.
