No payment (sacrifice) is due to be happy.

    1. The idea that we must suffer, sacrifice, or pay a price to attain happiness is a common belief perpetuated by the ego's thought system, but it is misguided.

Happiness is not something we need to earn through sacrifices or good deeds. Happiness is our natural state – it is the inherent condition of our true nature as extensions of God's love.
The ego's world of scarcity would have us believe that happiness is a scarce resource and that we must compete, strive, and suffer to obtain it. This belief system keeps us trapped in a cycle of seeking and never truly finding, always believing that happiness lies just beyond the next achievement.
However, God teaches that happiness is always available to us in the present moment because it is an innate part of who we are. We don't need to do anything or go anywhere to find it – we simply need to release the blocks we have placed between ourselves and our natural state of joy.
These blocks take the form of grievances, judgments, and fears – all products of the ego's thought system. By practicing forgiveness and letting go of these limiting beliefs, we allow ourselves to reconnect with the happiness that has always been within us.
The path to happiness is not one of sacrifice or payment, but one of release and remembrance. By releasing our attachment to the ego's illusions and remembering our true nature as beings of love and light, we naturally align ourselves with the joy that is our birthright.
Rather than seeking happiness through external means or believing that we must suffer to attain it, we can choose to recognize that happiness is always available to us, right here and now.
