Old Pictures

Of relatives and others - circa '1940 or so. Most I don't know, and there's no indication on the back of who they are.

Being silly... rarely silly with us, but silly at what looked to be his birthday.

Not a lot were taken over the years, but enough there to renew memories

I guess they did plays, and he was dressed as very ancient Egyptian, or a bad knockoff of same.

And not all grey...

Smokey was their Keeshond. He got into some sort of mess, and they had to shave him down from his neck down. Us adult kids laughed our arses off when we saw him, probably gave him a complex. Told our son this story a few times, finally have the picture to prove it.

My Dad's parents divorced in the late '40s. They didn't talk for many years, when they were both living in the Masonic Home. There were pictures of them as a couple.

Before she married Dad, she had quite the group of interested suitors.

She lived in a trailer park. When her 2nd husband passed, I cut her lawn every spring and summer from age 14 to age 18. Got paid $4 a cut, and maybe an ice cream cone. Before I could drive, Dad drove me down... that made it worthwhile.

My grandmother and her friends took a trip out west in the early 1970's. She was apparently fascinated by petrified wood, because half the pictures were of large pieces of petrified wood. I'm still giggling.
