"Perpetual Agenda" Items at Work

A bit of a vent day. These are things that should be done, even must be done, but don't get done or get done too late. And jam up my work.

Oh, I've brought these up time and time again. Even if something happens, it is temporary and ineffective.

    1. Major Projects - Employee Handbook

Just rolled out this week after about five years of micro editing by the board -after- they had an outside company and an attorney review it.

    2. Client Billing for Services Provided -

Client service records require a second (supervisor) e-signature for billing Medicaid. We bill twice a month. Despite several requests, including being reminded by our CEO, the supervisor doesn't do the second signatures in any kind of timely manner (services from 1/15/26 still aren't done).

    3. "Managing Down"

Managers do direct client care when they should be managing. Then nobody does the managing, so the direct care employees take advantage by accumulating insane overtime. Not sure they even work it... but most of the Managers don't manage their employee's hours.

    4. Documentation

Managers have an agency debit card and credit card. The debit card has an app that makes uploading and tagging receipts as easy as taking a picture. Two do it regularly out of ten cards. Credit cards... card holders are required to e-mail me with the purchase details, and get CEO approval for charges over $250. I hear from one manager regularly. And the boss is the worst since his charges go across all the programs.

    5. Major Projects - Cloud File Storage

We've used Egnyte for over a decade (at about $500/month). Two years ago (or more...) the boss agreed to move to Sharepoint (free), and that he would take on the project. And as of now, none has been done.

    6. Group Home Vacancies

The boss does a lot of work in this regard, but once word got out about our new residential facility being constructed (for 2027 or so occupancy), nobody wants to move their adult child into one of our current residences that have vacancies. Even though they'd get priority

    7. Not Managing Employee Schedules

Specific item from #3. With vacancies (3 clients in a 4 bed home), employee hours aren't reduced by the Managers. In fact, there's overtime where it isn't necessary.
