Raising My Bar
1. Since I’m only in competition with myself as I existed yesterday
I keep making incremental progress
2. Getting just a little more competent/better/healthier every day compounds the benefits
3. It’s kind of like placing a trailing stop against a stock you own; even if you slide back a little, you’ve still made gains
4. It’s just a mental/mindset game
5. Because you’re making progress in tiny increments, you never really feel like you’ve actually made a huge change in your life! You don’t recognize it sometimes!
6. Other people in your life see you making progress & get irritated that you never seem to be satisfied!
7. Many people settle into a habitual life - they plateau
8. They become complacent with the daily grind & their results
9. I seem to be unable to buy into that lifestyle
This is why things seem to be more challenging for me - the bar keeps getting raised - but I keep elevating with it
