    1. It was started when two brothers bought a pizza business in a small town in Michigan for $900 in 1960

    2. One of the brothers (James) sold his share in exchange for a Volkswagen Beetle a few years later, leaving Tom completely in charge

    3. Tom struggled financially and worked long hours for a few years and had 3 stores by 1965

    4. The two brothers had a rough childhood; their dad died when they were young and their mom sent them to an orphanage

    5. Tom joined the US Marine Corps, then went to university to study architecture but dropped out because of financial difficulties. Shortly after, he and his brother bought the pizza place.

    6. The pizza place was initially called DomiNick's but Tom had to change it a few years later because of trademark issues

    The name Domino's was suggested by his driver. The three dots represented the three stores they had back then.

    7. Tom offered generous franchise deals with low royalty fees which helped Domino's expand

    8. They introduced the 30-minute delivery guarantee in 1973, which increased customer satisfaction, but they had to get rid of it in the 90s because of multiple deaths and lawsuits

    9. Tom is an outspoken conservative (anti-abortion, not a fan of gay marriage, etc.), and there was a boycott against Domino's Pizza because of his anti-abortion views

    10. In the 90s, Tom sold 93% of his shares for $1B to dedicate his time and money to Catholic causes
