Random notes

A few notes that I have taken throughout the last month.

Many of these are works in progress. Many will amount to nothing, but maybe one gem is in there.

1. Climate Crisis

Have you noticed how the sea level only started rising after we banned whaling?

When I leave the bath the water drops. Make a few whales leave and the climate Crisis will be solved.

2. Credit Card

I asked my bank if I could use my credit card when I was abroad. They said they don't offer that service. What a bunch of transphobic biggots.

3. Old Man

. When I was younger there was an old man who had a bad back. Everytime he moved he'd moan in pain. It was a wee shame. One day my friend heard him moan, tapped me and said 'He's constipated' we both burst out laughing and everytime he moaned it triggered more laughs.

4. Alexa memory recorder

. An alexa type device that records audio. Takes photos /videos.

It can record audio of long conversations. Ones that are usally lost to time, but would mean the world if someone in the convno passed away.

We pose too much. We don't see the real self anymore. Random photos /videos changes this and let's us see ourselves as others see us. Let's us save memories that would be lost in time.

5. Reading

. If you want to increase reading put on movies with subtitles (Black and white movies). And they'll pick it up in order to know what's happening.

6. Halo Effect

We assume that those who are more attractive are also more intelligent and competent.

7. Epictetus

Is it possible to be free from error? Not by any means, but it is possible to be a person stretching to avoid error.

It's not things that upset us. It's our judgement about things.
