Reasons to learn Russian
I broke up with my Russian girlfriend, but I still like the idea of learning Russian at some point in the future (I'm learning Spanish for now).

1. There are a lot of Russian speakers around the world
They usually speak English when they live abroad (at least in the West), but you could have a stronger connection with them if you can communicate in their language.
2. It would feel cool
3. The complexity is intimidating but fascinating
4. It's almost like a party trick
5. There are so many countries where the language is spoken
Almost everyone speaks it as a second language in Armenia. It's the everyday language for most people in Kazakhstan.
