I want to teach again next year, but where?
1. There's more to the world
I have the opportunity to go anywhere. Why would I go back to somewhere I've already been?
On the other hand I know what I'm getting myself into with China. It's a huge country. Maybe a different city would be enough of a change.
2. I know the language
Not great, but well enough to get by.
Another country means learning a new language. It'll be hard work, but maybe that's also a good thing. How much will a new language benifit me?
3. Money
Chinas paying a lot for teachers. I don't think I'll find a higher paying country. It's really cheep to live there so I could save a lot in a short time. Taking money out of China is a bit of a hassle though, there's only so much I can save /take out. 4. Covid
That was insane. Its it really over in China? Do I want to put myself in that position before the next pandemic? 5. Friends
It would be great to see old friends again. I'll make new friends wherever I go, so that's not a factor. 6. Peace
I don't need to deal with people if I don't understand them. My mind was a lot calmer in China, but I think I'll return to that calm wherever I go. 7. New phone
Phones are really cheep out there. I could update my current one after a month of working.
