Should people go to college? 5 ideas for, 5 ideas against

This is widely debated, at least in the US. What are your thoughts on either side of the debate?

1. Yes

You learn how to think. You learn how to write. You study subjects that interest you so you can continue learning about them in the future.

2. No

If you are going into an industry that requires specific skills (like computer programming) then yes, it's worth it. But most degrees are general degrees and don't really teach specific skills so it's not worth it then.

3. Yes but...

you should also start your own business or do something entrepreneurial while you are in college so that by the time you graduate, you've already started on something real and tangible and not just learning about "theory" all day long.
