Ten Apps Or Tools I Can't Live Without & Why
No particular order, but some are used more because of "historical inertia" rather than being the best available option.
1. Excel
For work, for church, for home... lots of spreadsheets.
2. Quicken
Since about 1993 for personal finances.
3. Firefox
Primary browser. Use Chrome where I need to, but Firefox is my fav.
4. QuickBooks
For "real" work, and for church treasurer work. Automating more and more of the routine stuff helps, too.
5. Life360
For tracking where the family is, especially the son.
6. Phone
Because the smart phone is really a computer with a phone app.
7. Word
Like Excel, but lots of words instead.
8. Todoist
To remember the varietal daily things I could easily "forget" and not do.
9. Authenticator
Because of 2FA. Not happy having to do this many times a day. And hope that the hackers get a bad, bad case of crotch rot for being such D-bags.
10. NotePD
List writing is a very beneficial habit... and doing them here is simple. When we were off line, I didn't do daily lists.
