- How to understand taxes and finance.
- How to accomplish things.
- How people think: how group-think affects you
- Maintaining personal mental and physical well being (I couldn't really narrow this down to a single book)
1. Ayn Rand: Atlas Shrugged
This counterbalances what many people are taught in school these days. The world needs builders and makers.
2. Robert Kiyosaki: Rich dad Poor Dad
This is a great book and explains the roles of different career choices, taxes and opportunities.
3. “The Future Is Faster Than You Think: How Converging Technologies Are Transforming Business, Industries, and Our Lives (Exponential Technology Series)
The world will be changing at an increasing rate: this book explains why.
4. Harry Browne’s Money Book - 99% of Everything You Need to Know About Money & Its Effect Upon the Economy
5. The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness Dave Ramsey
I haven't read this particular book, but you can watch a few videos on YouTube and get an idea of what Dave Ramsey is about. Get out of debt.
6. Ramit Sethi: I Will Teach you to Be Rich
How to save and invest. How to take a long view of your career and life
7. Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones James Clear
8. Devil Take the Hindmost: A History of Financial Speculation
9. The 12 Week Year: Get More Done in 12 Weeks than Others Do in 12 Months
10. 12 Major World Religions: The Beliefs, Rituals, and Traditions of Humanity's Most Influential Faiths
Religion drives a lot of activity in the world. I have not read this particular book yet so I can't recommend it personally. The earlier in life you understand this the more you will understand important forces and people's lives.
