Ten Things I've Stopped Arguing About
Just don't want to use up mental bandwidth on it.
1. Politics
Generally a lose/lose.
2. Anything at work
Go along to get along. Do what I can to make my life easier without having to depend on what others (won't) do.
3. The Family's Clutter
Take care of mine & move on.
4. Sports
I'll take my beating on the Jets and Rutgers football.
5. Driving
The wife and the son lend a new definition to the words lead foot.
6. House decorations
Christmas lights & tree... the wife's plants that take up all the "free" space... and is "that" a decoration or is that clutter?
7. Star Wars or Star Trek
I like both, generally.
8. Ham / Pineapple on Pizza
You have what you want on yours, I'll have what I want on mine. Not a value judgement, just a choice. Glad to be where we have such choices. (I like it... just don't have it often)
9. What Goes On A Hot Dog
See #8. I prefer 'crispy' with mustard relish & sauerkraut. Don't prefer ketchup on mine, but would eat it if offered.
10. Politics
Yes, I know it was also #1, but need re-emphasis. I believe 90% of people have the same basic life beliefs, but different ideas about how to get there. And 10% of people think they know better about how "everyone" ought to live their lives.
