Ten Things To Be Grateful For Today
Haven't done one of these in a while... gotta try to remember to be grateful daily even if not in a list.
1. General health
Yeah, the back hurts (re-wrenched it), but am generally OK.
2. Family
Without family, what's the point?
3. Having A Job
Not particularly happy here these days, but at least (for now) am working and getting paid.
4. Options
Am working on (but yet to pull the trigger) a few side gigs to allow me to retire on my own terms.
While it isn't "live" for sales, one thing is wrapping paper, patterns generated by AI.
5. The Weather
The last couple weeks have been gorgeous - sunny and mild. Really appreciated it during football scrimmages on field turf, which gets over 100 degree F.
6. Friends
Whether its my officiating crew, college buds, or other friends I've made along the way, they keep me rooted and humble. And bust my chops like I bust theirs.
7. Online Meetings
From officiating & church meeting to college fraternity alumni board, I can get & keep involved from a distance, because I'm in the hinterlands of northern NJ and while I like driving, I'd prefer finishing a meeting and sitting right on the couch. If I didn't already take the meeting there... :)
8. Automation
Right now, work is running a 50/50 raffle. A couple years ago we (finally) got a check scanner. Before that, would have to make and file copies of the checks, and manually enter them in our accounting program (individually). The scanner saves me hours of work, not including the trips to and from the bank.
9. Red Light Therapy
Got one of those back pads... great for not just the back, but to wrap around the legs.
10. Here
While involvement isn't what it was, for me it is a bit of a sanity check, and a challenge to maintain the habit, which maintains the 'streak' (even though I lost about 500 or so lists in the 'great purge'.
