Ten Ways To Get People To Do What They're Supposed To Do
Work frustration because people won't do what they're supposed to do, and it affects my work. The boss lets it all go. What can I do, regardless if it might get me fired?
1. Post Deficiencies on Payroll "Community" App
"They can't even do a simple task like..."
2. Payroll "Errors"
Oopsy! Your direct deposit got lost. Maybe doing that thing can get it fixed.
3. Ask Their Assistant
"Your supervisor can't seem to do it... please get it done."
4. "Defund" Their Debit/Credit Cards
Don't submit reports, don't get to use cards.
5. Sit On Their Desk
Until they get it done...
6. Scream & Yell
Old school.
7. Steal Their Lunch
Wanna eat? Get that thing done.
8. Early AM Calls
I'm awake at 4am. I think you need a reminder...
9. E-Mail Bombardment
If I can't get something I need, I'll send you the same e-mail every 5 minutes until I get it!
10. Taser
When a stint in the local jail might be worth not having to do all of the above again.
