The Cuckoo’s Nest. (1 min 12 sec)

    1. A War That Was Never Real.

We’re like the Common Cuckoo chick, slipping into the nest of God, kicking out the rightful inhabitants, thinking we've claimed it as our own. By usurping God’s place, we've turned Him into an enemy in our minds. The ego, you, is convinced it’s in charge now, but that illusion comes with a steep price — your natural protection is gone. You feel guilty for this trespass, and that guilt is born from fear, not from anything real.
So now, you strap on makeshift armor, bracing yourself for the divine retribution that never comes. This guilt festers, becoming unbearable, and instead of looking inward, you throw it outward, projecting it onto others, places, and events. You’re convinced you’re in control, but in reality, you’re ruling over nothingbecause there was never anything to claim. If you are everything, what could you possibly own?
The illusion of ownership, like that cuckoo chick, is nothing but a desperate attempt to fill a void that doesn't exist.
One more thing...the truth you’ve been running from: There’s no nest to claim because you never left Home. You’ve been safe all along, tucked within the mind of God, untouched and untouchable. The armor you thought you needed? It was always a phantom. The war you braced for? A shadow. The only thing you needed to eject wasn’t God’s presence, but the illusion that you ever could.
There’s no enemy — only the mistaken belief that there ever was one.
