Do you remember a classic animated TV show from the 1960s called 'The Flintstones?
In the closing theme of the show, we see the main characters - Wilma, Fred, their son Bam Bam, and their pet dinosaur Dino - returning home. As they reach the front door of their stone-age house, Fred puts Dino's milk bottle outside and, in frustration, places Dino on the ground, seemingly telling him to stay outside.
1. However, here's the interesting part.
Right in front of them, there's an open window. As soon as Fred leaves Dino outside, Dino doesn't stay put. Instead, he effortlessly jumps through the open window and, with surprising strength, lifts Fred and drops him outside on the ground.
2. Now, let's use this amusing scenario as a metaphor to illustrate a profound truth.
In our dualistic world, we often search for external solutions, just like Fred's struggle to get back inside through the closed door, wrestling with our ego's limited perspective.
At the same time, Dino symbolizes our inner wisdom, effortlessly moving through the open window of awareness, guiding us to recognize that the answers are within.
3. Just as Fred beats on the door and calls for Wilma to let him in, we too find ourselves feeling like victims of external circumstances, desperately seeking answers outside of ourselves.
However, the wisdom of Dino teaches us that, like him, we can choose to access our inner knowing and embrace the truth that the answers to life's challenges are always within our reach, waiting for us to acknowledge their presence.
