1. The Ego's Game of Pay-to-Play.
A man sits across from a private investigator, nervously glancing around, his voice low. “I need to know if she’s cheating on me,” he says. The investigator listens, a faint smirk playing on his lips, watching this man chase what he already suspects.
The investigator leans back, measuring him. “So, you really want to know? You sure about that?”
The man nods, jaw set. “Yeah, I’ve got to know.”
The investigator nods slowly, then asks, “Alright, but you got the money?”
And there it is. You got the money? Everything in the ego’s world comes with a price tag, even the things you think you need to feel whole. Knowledge, truth, safety — they all come at a cost. You want your suspicions confirmed? That’ll cost you. You want to divorce her? That’ll cost you. You want to be born, die, stay within the ego’s bounds? Every single step, you pay for it. The ego makes sure of that.
Contrast that with God’s world. In love’s thought system, there are no price tags, no hidden fees, no “you got the money?” It’s already yours, free, always has been. No conditions, no bill, just peace, unconditional. But it seems we’re gluttons for punishment, constantly throwing ourselves into the ego’s world, paying for the things that can never fill us up.
So, are you willing to choose love’s thought system, where there’s no cost, no penalty, no catch? Or will you keep paying the ego’s tolls, knowing the bill never stops? One offers peace, the other keeps you spending. The choice is yours, but only one is free.
