The similarities between Stars Hollow and our local town

We're watching Gilmore Girls ... again. I first watched in my 30s, I think. And rewatched. The first time I started part way through ... terrestrial TV. I introduced GG to Chris and he likes it as well.

    1. Luke’s

Our local equivalent is Beaumonts. No Luke but great coffee, a cosy vibe, they know us by name, and it's our go to place.

    2. Mrs Kim’s

There are several antiques shops. One in particular is very eclectic with a quirky owner. Not naming names here!!!

    3. Dragonfly Inn

A bit further away from here is our favourite place to stay, Biggin Hall. It's a country house hotel with immense charm. Again, a very warm welcome and a great cast of characters.

    4. Doose’s

With far less grumpy owners, we have our wonderful farm shop.

    5. Black White Read Books

We have a lovely new bookshop in town, the Bookhound.

    6. Al’s Pancake World

We have the fabulous Benny's for the best pizza and kebabs in town.

    7. Black White Read Theatre

Our village hall puts on film nights too.

    8. Miss Patty’s

Our village hall is also a meeting place and location for monthly council meetings.

    9. Chiltern

There's a grammar school in town too.

    10. House of Worship

In GG the church is used by both Christian and Jewish congregations. We have St John's which is the home of the Church of England and Baptist congregations.

    11. Soda Shoppe

We have The Olde Sweet Shoppe.
