They Are Us. (3 min 54 sec)

    1. Alright, Mighty Companions, let’s sit down and have a real chat.

Grab a cup of coffee, or maybe something stronger, because we’re diving deep into the heart of the matter. I’m talking about something that might just shake the foundations of how you see the world and everyone in it. You ready? Good. Here goes.
    “They are us.”
You know, sometimes we walk around thinking we’re separate, unique little islands. We see people doing their thing, and we judge. Oh, how we judge. “He’s too loud.” “She’s too quiet.” “They don’t understand.” But let me tell you something—those people out there? They are just different manifestations of us. Hell, they are us.
    Yeah, you heard me right.
Let’s break this down ACIM style, shall we? A Course in Miracles tells us that we’re all one, all part of this grand, interconnected web of existence. There’s no real separation between you, me, and that stranger on the street. We’re all fragments of the same divine whole, just playing different roles in this cosmic drama.
Think about it. Have you ever felt a flash of anger, a pang of sorrow, or a moment of pure joy? Of course, you have. Now, imagine every single person feeling those same emotions, experiencing those same highs and lows. They’re going through the same human experience, grappling with the same fears, the same hopes, the same dreams. It’s not just empathy we’re talking about; it’s understanding that fundamentally, at the core, we’re made of the same stuff.
The Course teaches us about the ego—the part of us that thrives on separation, on making us feel like we’re different, better, or worse than everyone else. It whispers in our ear, “You’re special because you’re not like them.” But here’s the kicker: it’s a lie. A big, fat, divisive lie. The truth, Mighty Companions, is that the light that shines in you is the same light that shines in them.
So, when you see someone and think, “They’re nothing like me,” catch yourself. Remember this little nugget of wisdom. Look deeper. See past the surface differences—the skin color, the job title, the social status—and recognize the soul within. That soul is your soul. We’re reflections of each other, dancing this intricate dance of life together.
ACIM goes even further, seeing others as ourselves, we heal. We heal our minds, our hearts, and ultimately, the world. Because when we recognize that oneness, when we act from a place of love rather than judgment, we step into our true power. We start to dissolve the illusions of separation, bit by bit, and move closer to the reality of our shared divinity.
So, next time you’re tempted to draw a line in the sand, to put someone in a box labeled “different,” pause. Take a deep breath and remember: they are us. And in that moment of recognition, you’re not just seeing them differently; you’re seeing yourself differently too. You’re embracing the wholeness of who we are.
    Now, isn’t that something?
So, Mighty Companions, go out there and practice this. Look into the eyes of those you meet and see yourself staring back. Extend the love you wish to receive, and watch as the world transforms around you. Because in the end, we’re all in this together, and together, we’re unstoppable.
