Thought provoking day on NotePD
1. Quit your job
A list by @BooValu23
It's a great list wow. All I can say is don't be afraid to pay your dues, then build some sort of financial cushion, figure out how to go on your own and then do it.
2. How to improve the US healthcare system
This is a challenge, I've read a couple of entries.
Some ideas I agree with some I don't but more importantly, the politicians are never going to figure it out. I'm not sure they actually care about figuring it out. Don't wait for someone else to solve this. It is up to us, no one will care more about our health than us. For me this means lifting weights, cutting carbs and skipping breakfast.
@harnessmoney just got back from Maui and recommends it. ENDORSE. We went in early October. Picture from Haleakala Nation Park
4. Practical learning
Great list by @coachmattfried
One that resonates from his list is having to do some sort of service work, he gave examples of civil service or military. This resonates because of how much I would have rebuffed this idea when I was 20 and how much service has played a role in my life as a volunteer firefighter for almost 20 years. To Matt's list, working for the Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management (federal) or some sort of Department of Natural Resources at the state level would be a fantastic opportunity.
5. Twitter Blue Check
From a wide ranging list by @easymoneyme
Earlier today I Tweeted "The idea of a blue check or wanting one never really resonated. Naval made a point that I took as it's a type of conformity that offers nothing, that point did resonate."
