Ways that I could improve my local community
Live in Dallas near the Cowboys stadium.
1. Dog parks
The city has lots of parks, but they are not fenced in so dogs cannot run around. Connect with my local city council person about creating some dog parks around the city. Black labs need to run!
2. Pick up trash
I have notice that people throw glass bottles on the street/sidewalk. I should go around the neighborhood and sweep it up.
3. Volunteer at the YMCA
It is right down the street at the local elementary school
4. Teach some type of class at the library
There is a small branch just outside my neighborhood. Could teach a free class about how to start investing.
5. Get to know more of my neighbors
Maybe host a pool day or block party. Never done something like that before.
6. Plant trees
7. Make my front yard look better
The bushes died from a winter freeze and I removed them, but have not really planted anything to replace them and there are some dead spots in the grass. I should probably install a sprinkler system.
8. Give money/time to the local animal shelter
9. Find out who my city leaders are send them ideas - get to know them
10. Start a local business of some kind
