Ways to find contentment
Inspired by a terrific list by @BillBergeman https://notepd.com/idea/10-things-that-always-make-me-feel-at-peace-jwwyh
1. Waking up to this
We have a good view from our bed

2. Body surfing
Only get to do this when we go to Maui, we're lucky that we've gone many times. The time spent waiting in between waves is incredibly peaceful and the time actually riding a wave is a rush.

3. Walker when there is a lot of snow on the ground
The snow muffles the sound in such a way where it is incredibly quiet. That's our driveway.

4. Taking pictures
5. A challenging hike
Wheeler Peak, the highest point in Nevada at just over 13,000 feet, it's in Great Basin National Park. The last two miles up was like a stair case.

6. The exertion of fighting a wildfire
I've mentioned this before, the the exhaustion that goes with fighting a fire, then coming home and plopping down afterwards is a wonderful sensation. I'm in the white helmet.

7. Shoveling snow
This is related to numbers 3 and 6. The snow is peaceful, the exertion is beneficial and there is a sense of accomplishment. I do plenty of plowing with our ATV but also a lot of shoveling too.
