Ways to Remember what you Learn
I just finished a Linked in Learning course that explained why we forget what we learn and how to improve. HInt - writing this list is one way to help improve my retention of the material. Following are some others:

1. Reduce Absentmindedness
To reduce this, they suggest that we try to be present. One way to focus on the moment (for example when you are meeting someone) is to repeat their name when you hear it.
2. Remove Distractions while learning
You’ve already heard this: Multi-tasking is the devil. You can’t do it. So just stop.
3. Sleep more
4. Reduce complexity by chunking
The best way to retain information is to link it or chunk with something you already know.
5. Practice recall
For me - this is SRS or writing things down that I have just learned (like a name)
6. Interleave your learning
This struck a cord with me. When I was a kid, I would practice the same math problem over and over again only to be stuck when I got to a test and it didn’t ask for a specific result, it just showed me the diagram. What do I do? They recommend that you practice with different problems, different situations so that you are prepared
