What are the most surreal places to visit?
1. Badlands, South Dakota
I have been twice. It looks like the surface of the moon at night you can see thousands and thousands of stars because there’s almost no artificial light for dozens of miles
2. Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg Florida
This museum is fantastic and has many of his great works. I did not realize this, but there are a number of paintings such as the hallucinogenic toreador that are 10‘ x 10‘‘ and larger (3meters) They are truly enormous.
3. Yellowstone national park
There are so many interesting things to see here. Hot springs, faithful geyser. Lots of natural activity, all in one spot.
4. Crazyhorse monument in South Dakota
. The scale of the statue is staggering. At this time, only the face is completed, but if the statue is completed, it will be crazy horse riding a horse, and it will be the size of the entire mountain. It might take over 100 years to complete.
5. Drive toward Las Vegas at night from the east
I did this many years ago, and Las Vegas is quite a bit larger now. But what starts as a tiny point of light grows over the course of the next four hours until you arrive on the strip.
.
6. Go out on any ocean to where you can no longer see land
7. Create a room where no light at all enters. This is harder than it sounds.
. A friend of mine did this. It is hard, because after sitting in the room for 20 or 30 minutes, you may see a new source of light and have to cover it and start all over again the next day. I didn’t get to do it, but he said the experience was quite extraordinary.
8. The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família
