I was a journalist for a few years, so I know how to write and generally communicate. A few years ago I learned the fundamentals of web development - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and some SEO.
I've done so many career assessments and they generally say the same thing: work in the media, public relations, or technical writing. Or be a web developer.
You're all smart and super helpful. How can I combine these skills in a new and interesting way? Thanks so much everyone!
1. Write a newsletter
I've been reading newsletters for years. But I don't read any anymore. Why? Because they're boring. They just regurgitate news articles and there's no personality or point of view or anything.2. Write about the future
What are the technologies that will change our lives in the next 5-10 years? How will they change our jobs, relationships, society? What are the ethical questions we need to think through as these technologies emerge.3. Every day list three things people can do right now to be happier
4. List five things every CEO should know about AI and how it affects their business
I've talked to many CEOs and they have no idea what is happening in AI and machine learning and deep learning (the three main branches of AI). What are some key things they should know?5. A podcast with interesting guests on AI topics that CEOs need to know about.
The CEO of Uber is talking about self driving cars so I guess this would be relevant for him but he doesn't seem interested in listening to me when I tell him about all the other stuff going on in AI that he should be aware of (e.g., NLP, chatbots, etc.).
