What can I do with these skills?
I think there is already a good deal of good advice on the thread. In the end of the day, it depends on two things: what you are good at, and what you would love to do. As a tech person myself, I have to say unfortunately, fundamental web development itself isn't enough for you to have a (good) career in tech. So I'll add also some possible fields you could learn in order to enhance your skills.
1. Tech evangelist
Someone who bridges communication between potential clients and the company (think of someone who presents or in a company booth during expos.
2. Building landing page for small businesses
And/or consult them for social media/online presence. It's the combination of communicating ideas well, and build it into a good landing page + seo.
3. Tech writer
I know it's been said already, but tech people tend to have poor writing skills. And here is where your journalism/communication skill could excel.
4. Podcast with an interesting angle
Perhaps interviewing people who are successful in changing careers to tech or from tech to something else?
5. Learn about data visualization
Which will also leverage your journalism skills.
