What Is the Worst Corporate Jargon You've Heard?
These make me a bit snarky!
1. Reach out
As in 'I wanted to reach out to ..." - please, just no!2. Best
People signing emails 'Best'. Supposed to be shorthand for 'best wishes'. Too busy to type the second word?3. Push the envelope
In my literal world I just see people pushing envelopes across a table.4. 110%
I've never liked this. 100% already means giving all you've got.5. Takeaways
You're sitting in a meeting and at the end the boss asks what are your takeaways from this session? Clearly not Chinese!6. You're a star!
This always sounds very patronising. Cringe worthy!7. Value add
Surely value add-ed? It sounds grammatically incorrect.8. Crushing it
Oo, I could crush a grape.
9. I hope you're well
Starting emails with 'I hope you're well'. It must be the most used phrase in business email.
