what systems and habits are you actively developing, strengthening, and evolving to support the life, work, and relationships you value?
Thanks to @briceno for the idea
1. Habit: NotePD
2. Habit: Reading 100+ books a year
About 70% audio books.
3. Habit: Daily motion/light exercise
A combination of walking, swimming, yoga, and dumbbells.
4. Habit: gratitude jounal
I keep this with my toothbrush for easy habit stacking. I write down three things a day and I don't worry about whether they are good or not. From the most basic (coffee) to more profound (inner peace).
5. Habit: creating for the sake of creating
I like writing music, doing woodwork, cooking and writing code. Projects don't have to be good, they just need to be completed.
6. Habit: Paying attention
This is a hard one. It means really listening to someone when they talk to you or giving a pet your full attention.
7. System: Using Notion
I am late to this party, but Notion seems to be a really good "everything system" for organizing your (creative) life
8. Habit: watching podcasts during the work day
I keep them on as background noise. I learn a lot, stay curious, and find new books to read.
9. System: automating computer work
I use a computer all day. I use a lot of keyboard shortcuts, speech recognition, macros and artificial intelligence to do things quickly.
10. Habit: using AI
I consciously find ways to use generative AI throughout my day. AI will have a large effect on the world, and I want to take advantage of it.
11. Habit Stacking
this is where you take something you already do (brush your teeth, make coffee) and add a habit to it (journaling, exercise).
