When you were raised in survival mode, you see the world differently
@the.holistic.psychologist wrote these. Christmas Eve is steeped in traditions, many of which we try and carry through from our childhoods. When you were raised in survival mode these make a lot of sense.
1. You have different traits and skills
2. Resourcefulness
You're able to use what you have and make things work because you've learned to be adaptable since childhood.
3. Humor
Many people raised in survival mode have developed humor as a coping mechanism that allows them to bring joy to other people as well as themselves, at times.
4. Empathy
Specifically for those who are doing inner healing work, empathy is the end result of realizing that we all want the same things and we're all fighting some sort of internal battle.
5. More open to different perspectives
Survival mode exposes you to many different things that can lead you to be more understanding and aware of how different people think, behave and navigate through life.
6. The ability to accept change
Chang might have been a constant for you, so it's not as difficult to cope with, or you might even welcome it.
