Why you should grill on the weekends
I committed to grill every weekend this summer. I think it was one of the best decisions I've made this year. Following are the reasons why.

1. I've gotten better at seasoning my food without salt
You need to season your food before you grill it. I've found it difficult to season my food during cooking because of the direct heat. In addition, I have High Blood pressure and have had to move away from salt. I've found all kinds of seasonings that don't need salt. Penzey's is a great source.
2. I've stepped outside my house
WFH is addictive for me. And I don't have many reasons to leave my house.
3. I have started to enjoy my patio and backyard
The landscaping near my townhome is beautiful. And the retention pond can be beautiful to look at.
4. I don't have to cook in the middle of the week
I burn enough food (meat and vegetables) to make cooking in the middle of the week a quick task (either microwaving or Airfrying). I don't turn on the stove and heat my house up.
5. I eat less junk food
No fast food. Less processed food.
6. I eat more vegetables
I buy a lot of frozen veggies and just microwave them with my grilled food. Or I grill potatoes, corn and onions on the grilling pan.
7. I don't spend 30 minutes to an hour cooking every day.
I have a lot of hobbies and interests. Cooking (while sometimes enjoyable) ate up way too much time (Pun not intended). Grilling on the weekend turns cooking during the week into a mix-and-match kind of task. I spend less time wondering what will I eat and how long will it take to cook it?
