You're tasked with writing copy for a landing page that's meant to convert visitors into customers. What are some key elements you focus on in order to make the copy as persuasive as possible?
In response to the challenge of what points to emphasize in changing a visitor into a customer. In no particular order.
I'm interested in getting into copywriting and have lately taken the time to learn about it, so this list will reflect my best guesses on what I think would work.
By doing this you answer the key question in the reader's mind, "How would I benefit?"
I'm not a copywriter but I'm someone who has built websites and writes. These are some points that I think are important.
Be very clear to the visitor that they are in the right place. Is your website for them? Are they your audience. Something simple like: if you're XXX, looking for YYY, then this is for you. If you need help with ZZZ, you're in the right place.
From my experience with sales and copy, the most important aspects to consider are the motivations of the target prospects, and their ability to belive in your ability to help them realize what they want or want to remove. Without their motivation nothing else matters much, honestly.
What do you know about them? What's their stage of awareness? What's their level of motivation?
