This book taught me that I've spent much of my life constrained by my thoughts about reality. The biggest thing I've learned from this book is that I need to accept reality.

“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”

    1. Factfulness - Hans Rosling

    0

Possibly the most important book to read in the era of misinformations. It gave you a tool to help question and digest the things presented to you daily by the media, by the facts you thought you knew (but quite possibly have changed in the past couple of years!). We all have bias, and how we could challenge our own bias is important when we need to better understand an issue.

    1. The Hunger Games

The first book, and I'm not kidding. I'm reading this now. This became so big and got turned into a movie for a reason. Also, if you need a good example of how to write at a grade 10 level, this would be good.

I am not much of a book person. My mother made me read when I was a kid and of course I rebelled against it. For my short list, it's not about the books it's about categories of books if that makes any sense...maybe it doesn't.

    1. Black Swan or Fooled by Randomness both by Nassim Taleb
