10 ideas to stay motivated running
1. Talk about it
Don't just keep progress to self
2. Gamification tools
Not interested in a race? Use gamification tools with scoreboards
3. Set a bigger goal
Instead of saying I want to run a 5k then a 10k then a 15k, train straight to a 40k+
4. Read running books
5. Listen to David Goggins or Jocko Willink
6. Create some personal reward system
7. Eat food others would be jealous of!
Run a lot so you can eat anything. Not a popular idea for super fitletes.
8. Race other runners randomly on the street
9. Run at different times throughout the day!
If X (any number) miles isn't challenging anymore and you don't want to go longer, try a different type of day like at 2 or 4 in the morning that you wouldn't do. Your body won't care about the distance, it will think you did a good job because you were running while others are sleeping.
10. Experiment with running supplements
Always consult with a physician before trying anything new, but maybe trying some sort of cardio health supplement might help.
