10 ingredient killer oatmeal
Ok I don’t know why I am so into oatmeal these days. I eat breakfast about two days a week and it is always this. This will fill you up and can sustain you for outdoor activities.
it takes less than 5 minutes to cook on the stove. You can cook everything at once if you like softer fruit. I will usually start the oatmeal, eggs and seasoning for a minute or two.

1. Oatmeal and water
I measure one cup oatmeal and 2 cups water
2. Cayenne pepper
This is my “secret weapon “ to give it a kick.
3. Cinnamon
4. 2 eggs
This is optional but adds a lot of protein and heartiness
5. Chopped walnuts
We had some of these lying around. Really good!
6. Chopped apples
7. Berries
If you aggressively stir in berries so they break up it adds a nice flavor to everything. Also leave them whole for the Berry bite experience.
8. Brown sugar
Optional and you don’t need much.
9. Pinch of salt
I rarely add salt and when I do it usually ends up being too much so go lightly.
10. Peanut (or other nut) butter
After you turn off the heat stir in some peanut butter.
