10 local and rural shopping experiences
1. Lester Lowe
Typically for farmers and equestrians, Lester Lowe is a favourite place for compost, gravel, poo bags, ironmongery, outdoor clothes but you can get everything you need there if you have a farm or stables.
2. Sinfoil and Slater
Outdoor wear for the discerning country gent or lady. I bought my hat from there and Chris bought his duster coat.
3. Fishmongers
Not only selling fish but also pheasant, wild boar, rabbit, grouse and partridge.
4. David Neill
For all your DIY needs but also equipped for the country home wood burning stove!
5. Antiques
An eclectic mix of country house accoutrements set against a Georgian backdrop.
6. Milk
Straight from the cow! There are several milkbots where you take your own bottle and fill it up. Cuddle a calf while you're at it!
7. Tearooms
One on every corner. We are regulars at our favourites.
8. Independents
Nearly all the local shops are independents and one offs. Shop local!
9. Farm Shop
Local produce for the local community. Top quality meat, veg and bread.
10. Flower shop
Out of hours honesty box for late night purchases. Plus fab flowers and a cute shop.
