10 PC Games I Wish I Still Had / Played
H/T @eyegor for inspiring this one... Best versions were on the Commodore 64, back when games weren't subscription based and you could have a lot of fun with the original installation. Upgrades optional...
I don't play games a lot any more. Only have Flight Simulator and a Star Trek game on the newest PC and don't play much. Maybe a new goal?
1. Zork
For you young folks, this was originally a text only game.
2. Elite
A space trading and combat simulator, ahead of its time in scope and depth.
3. Hunt for Red October
C-64 version. Original PC version sucked.
4. Red Storm Rising
Another C-64 game. Again, PC version sucked.
5. Arctic Fox
A 3D tank shooter set on a frozen alien world, known for early polygon graphics.
6. Microleague Baseball
Many hours and year disks bought playing this one.
7. Wasteland
Yet another C-64 game... set in a desolate, nuclear-ravaged America, Desert Rangers explore ruins, battling mutants, and making morally complex decisions.
8. Star Trek
A classic grid-based tactical game originally written in BASIC. You command the Enterprise to destroy Klingons within a grid of quadrants using phasers and torpedoes. Many clones appeared on C64.
9. Jupiter Lander
C-64 cartridge game based on the arcade version
10. Star Wars - Rebellion
Strategy game during Galactic civil war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
