10 people I would like to meet travelling across the US
Some of the names on my list are fictional characters played by actors. I still want to meet them. I'd love to add a couple of others - Sam Shepard and Joan Didion. Perhaps I could travel somewhere in their footsteps.

1. Luke in Luke's Diner
I'm a big Gilmore Girls fan. I also love coffee and would love to visit Star's Hollow and drink coffee in Luke's Diner. (Sadly, Star's Hollow was built on a movie lot for the show. Fun fact: The Dragonfly Inn was formerly home to The Waltons - one of my childhood favourites).2. James Earl Jones
There's a scene in the Big Bang Theory where Sheldon stalks James Earl Jones, finding him at his favourite restaurant. They have a riotous evening. I could skip the sauna but the karaoke would be a giggle!3. Jimmy DiResta
Jimmy is a Maker. He lives near New York. One of the nicest guys you could meet. He's been to a Maker event here in the UK a few times, and my husband and I are both big fans. I'd love to visit his workshop and spend a day learning from him.4. The cast of the Big Bang Theory
Chris, my husband, and I are massive Big Bang Theory fans. We've watched the entire series several times. Maybe I could play a bit part in a postscript episode.5. Keanu Reeves
From articles I've read, Keanu seems like a nice guy. I'm not sure what it says about me but I like the John Wick films. I'd like to talk to him about being so grounded.6. Matthew McConaughey
Greenlights is an epic book about the power of journaling. I'm in awe of Matthew's journal keeping skills. I'd love to journal with him and pick up some tips about maintaining a better practice.7. Kevin Costner
I've been a long time fan of Kevin Costner. Dances with Wolves, The Untouchables, Field of Dreams. And Revenge, which I saw in Paris. Perhaps afternoon tea with electro swing playing in the background.8. Steven Pressfield
His books are great and he seems like a good guy to ask about upping my writing game. Maybe we could meet at Yale, Rory Gilmore's alma mater, and have a conversation in the library.9. Cheryl Strayed
Wild, for me, was about transformation and redemption. I think meeting Cheryl would require a Thelma and Louise style road trip, taking in diners along the way, writing a book about our travels.10. Angel
I'd love to meet my friend and collaborator from across the pond, @Angel - we are kindred spirits from different continents. We record a podcast together and are working on a new project. We have such a lot in common, it would be amazing to get together in person.
