1. Your fingers won't hurt that much compared to playing guitar cause the strings are much thicker.
2. It's easy to keep a simple rhythm and still have fun.
3. The vibrations the bass guitar makes are so relaxing.
4. It's so cool trying a bass guitar if you played drums before cause you understand way better how to align your line with the bass drum.
5. You can easily find yourself dancing cause you are the one keeping the rhythm.
6. You will find that you are the central core of the music cause removing the bass line makes the music weak and shallow.
7. You can make things more complicated for sure but playing for the band doesn't require too much to do on bass guitar (at least at the start) because see the #2.
8. The bass guitar looks so minimalistic and it's a beauty in its own way.
9. In overall, you don't need that many effects pedal for your job comparing to the guitar.
10. The list of famous and cool bassists is way shorter than the one for guitarists or drummers, so you have quite a big room to leave your mark on history.
