    1. Rule #1: Write a really, really useful book

    2. Use kindle direct publishing select

You need to give Amazon exclusivity, but it is worth it.

    3. Follow the instructions to correctly format your book

Kindle Create is software that Amazon provides for this purpose: https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G7R2L7V5X6SJH948

    4. try to make an eBook 10-12,000 words or about 60-70 pages

    5. Use a "Four Circles" Venn diagram to niche down your topic

What kind of book are you suited to write? Circle 1 is labeled “Interest,” Circle 2 is “Experience,” and Circle 3 is “Market.” Circle 4, which is optional, is “Job-Related.”

    6. Narrow down your audience

EG: Broad: People that have never tried yoga before

Narrow: Middle aged people that are experiencing stiffness, aches and pains that have never tried yoga before.

    7. Narrow down the outcome

    Broad: become more physically fit

Narrow: be able to easily get up off the floor, pick up a laundry basket or walk up the stairs

    8. Read reviews of other amazon books to get ideas for pain points to solve

    9. Use advanced Google searches to research your topic

    This is a good one:

" To find forums related to your book, simply type the following in the Google search bar:

    forum: Your topic

This is a special operator that returns only forum-type websites. Then, from the search results, copy one of the URLs, and type the following into Google again:

    “How do I” site:URL

This will basically search for any question that has a “How do I” phrase within that forum"

    10. Your title and book should create an outcome for a target audience

    “My book will help <Target audience> <Outcome>”

My book will help middle aged people starting yoga for the first time get the most out of yoga and improve their ability to perform daily life tasks

    11. Use this to create a title and subtitle

"A great title and subtitle should ideally do four things: grab attention, explain the outcome, define the audience, and contain keywords." and explain the outcome.

Title: A Guide to Starting Yoga in Middle Age: Improve your flexibility, strength, balance and mindset from the very first class

Subtitle: How any body type can benefit from yoga and improve your quality of life. Advice for getting the most out of a yoga practice
