10 Ways to Enjoy the Day

    1. Go outside and walk. Bonus points if it is with a dog

    2. Figure out how to make your favorite coffee and have it in the morning

    I fresh grind 45 grams of dark roast beans and put them in a one liter French press.

    3. Spend time thinking while looking outside

    You can call this meditation.

    4. Try to make someone laugh

    Not necessarily as a clown but that works too. Try to get a smile or laugh from someone on the phone, a neighbor, a coworker, a cashier or wait staff.

    5. Smile and give an acknowledgment wave to people driving past.

    This might get exhausting in New York City but is nice in the suburbsĀ 

    6. Create something

    It does not have to be good, just yours. A sketch, a song, a sandwich, a list on NotePD.

    7. Get some fitness-level-appropriate exercise

    8. Watch something funny

    Theee Stooges, South Park, fail compilations on YouTube, Mean Girls or whatever strikes your funny bone today.

    9. Be thankful

    Appreciate what you have.

    10. Learn something new

    Fix something, read something, try something new.
