10 ways to protect your teeth
There's a saying I've heard, "Treat your teeth like they cost a million dollars, otherwise it'll cost a million dollars to fix them".
1. Drink green or black tea
The polyphenols prevent cavities, gum, and oral cancer.
2. Eat nuts like almonds
They have minerals that help maintain your teeth, plus they likely help clean the gunk out.
3. Drink water
Dislodges all the sticky stuff in your teeth
4. Chew sugar-free gum
Stimulates saliva in mouth, dislodges stuff in teeth.
Apparently also prevents cavities, so long as you don't put sugar and cream in it.
6. Brush with baking soda from time to time
Because it's an abrasive, it's good at removing plaque.
7. Consume dairy products like cheese and yogurt
Helps slightly rebuild teeth.
At least once a day.
9. Get a check-up at a dentist
10. Use an electric toothbrush or a really good manual
I used to think that this was a gimmick, but the results really spoke for themselves.
