10 Ways You Can Be More Productive During The Day

1. Start the work day with a ritual
Journaling in the morning works for me
2. Drink enough water
To avoid headaches and hunger. To feel well and be better able to focus
3. Mild exercise
To keep the kinks away and to foster positivity
4. No eating during work day
Eating makes me get up from work and makes it difficult to come back properly. More importantly, eating makes me feel sluggish, sleepy and cranky.
5. Difficult things first
Try to finish something critical/important/difficult first. It is not okay to call clients first thing in the morning but can do other backend work.
6. Variety
Try to add training, reading useful articles, thinking - anything work related when feeling tired.
7. Show up
Show up everyday for the whole duration. I plan to allow myself to only think about things that help work.
8. No distractions
As much as possible - no social media. Also no reading non-work books during work day.
9. Breaks
Try spending breaks to energize. Baths, walks, talks, cooking, playing with N would qualify. If really needed, a short nap with alarm could be OK. But best to avoid.
10. Be grateful
Be grateful for the things that get done. The progress we make. The opportunities that come up. For the team.
11. Adapt
Consciously note what works well and adapt routine to get more done.
