1. Verschlimmbessern
Ver: A prefix that marks the word in question as negative or difficult
schlimm: terrible
bessern: to make better
Making something worse by trying to make it better
2. Schadenfreude
Schaden: damage
Freude: joy
The joy when something bad happens to somebody you don't like
3. Kummerspeck
Kummer: sorrow
Speck: bacon or fat
The fat you put on after eating too much due to sadness
4. Geborgenheit
Ge: A prefix that expresses what is happening at the moment
bergen: to protect
heit: An ending that refers to manner or appearance
The feeling that is caused by being warm, protected and sheltered
5. Torschlusspanik
Tor: door
Schluss: ending
Panik: panic
The strong feeling of having to do something because an opportunity is irrevocably ending
6. Fremdschämen
fremd: foreign, strange, alien
sich schämen: to be ashamed
A painful sensation when someone else does something embarrassing
7. Geschmacksverirrung
Geschmack: taste
Verirrung: abomination
A sign of such bad taste that a pathological disorder is suspected
