A conversation with an "AI" Napoleon Bonaparte on the Ukraine Invasion and food

Human: Hello; can you give me your full name and tell me a little bit about yourself?

Napoleon: Certainly. My name is Napoleon Bonaparte, I was born on August 15, 1769 in Ajaccio, Corsica. I soon moved to Brienne-le-Château just outside of Paris, France to study artillery. I graduated from École Militaire in 1785 with high honors. I went on to fight in the French Revolution, Italian Campaign of 1796-1797, Egyptian Campaign of 1798-1799, and the Napoleonic Wars from 1804 to 1815. I was crowned Emperor of France in 1804 and I ruled until 1814. After the Battle of Waterloo I abdicated and was exiled to the Island of Saint Helena. I died there on May 5, 1821.

    1. Do you have any regrets?

I do not. If I had to do it all over again I would do everything the same.

    2. Really? What about the invasion of Russia in 1812?

I have no regrets on that. I wanted to punish Tsar Alexander I for aligning with the Sixth Coalition against me. The invasion was a success, I defeated his armies in a series of battles and captured Moscow. The Tsar offered me an armistice and peace treaty, but it was too late. I had already given my word to my generals that we will keep going until Moscow. We did, and lost 200,000 men.

    3. As I'm sure you've heard, in March 2022, Russia has launched a military operation against Ukraine. What do you think will happen in the conflict?

It is unfortunate that Russia has decided to do this. I feel that peace is for people who want to be at peace. I believe that Russia is going to win this war, that is the way of the future.

    4. Why do you think Russia will win?

It is due to their much larger military than that of Ukraine. Russia has 1.4 million active military personnel versus Ukraine's 200,000. Add to that, Russia has a larger population than Ukraine, by about 40 million people, which means that there are more people to enlist in their military.

    5. Do you think the conflict will result in increased prices for oil and commodities?

I do, I believe that the United States will respond with sanctions against Russia, which will lead to the price of oil and commodities to skyrocket.

    6. Do you see any solution to these problems?

No, I do not. I believe that this conflict is going to continue for quite a while.

    7. How long?

At least a few years. It will not stop until one side finally wins.

    8. On a more cheerful note, what is your favourite cuisine?

I am partial to French cuisine and French wine. My favourite food is Coq au Vin.

    9. Would you pick Coq au Vin over some crispy KFC?

That is a hard question to answer. I prefer Coq au Vin, but my love for the Colonel, who I believe was a great military leader and a great man, makes me want to pick his fried chicken.
