"A town built on a hill cannot be hidden" Matthew, 5:14. (1 min 44 sec)

    1. Jesus uses an analogy here to illustrate a spiritual truth about the impact of living a life of righteousness.

    Righteousness redefined.
Beyond Judgment: Not judging ourselves or others based on external standards of behavior. Jesus emphasizes releasing the ego's projections and judgments. Only love and forgiveness are real. True righteousness emerges from within, not from following external rules or trying to appear "good" in the eyes of others.
Forgiving Ourselves and Others: An understanding of righteousness is revealed through the practice of forgiveness. Holding onto judgments and resentments blocks the flow of love and keeps us separate from our true selves.
Seeing Beyond Appearances: The world we perceive is an illusion, a projection of the ego's fear and separation. True righteousness sees beyond appearances and recognizes the Christ in everyone, including ourselves.

    2. Metaphorically, a town situated on a hill is highly visible and cannot be concealed.

Similarly, when we live our lives in alignment with truth, our actions become evident to others. Our righteousness shines forth like a beacon, impacting those around us.

    3. Our actions are not hidden but are exposed for all to see, much like a town on a hill.

Jesus encourages us to live authentically and virtuously because our influence extends beyond ourselves and has a positive impact on others.
