Advice on finding the best job

    1. Location

Where do you want to live? Busy city or the quite countryside. By the beach or in the mountains. Where you stay has a huge impact on your happiness. You don't need to stay in your current city, look around you'll probably find you can do the same job in a much better location.

    2. Google maps

I've found Google maps to be a great source for finding jobs

Search your location then search for the type of job you're looking for. You now have a list of places you can send a cv/cover letter too. Easy!

    3. Settle promotion details

At the interview settle what requirements are needed for promotion. Have this in writing so you have something to work towards and a reason to leave if they don't keep their word.

    4. Know your worth

Work hours. Pay. Holidays. Ect. Write it all down. This is what you'll negotiate for after the interview process. If you don't get it, keep looking. You don't need to settle for the first job.

    5. When to leave

Under what circumstances will you leave the job? Know this from the start and you can get out before you snap.

    6. Retention

Ask to speak to people who already work their. How long do people typically stay? If short, find a new job, this one's bad. If they stay for a long time, this place is probably pretty good.
