Are Movie Theaters Back?
Just saw my first movie in the theater in years.
1. Top Gun: Maverick
Haven't seen this yet, but it is now Tom Cruise's highest grossing film ever.

2. They are less crowded
Saw a movie during its opening weekend and it wasn't too crowded. Certainly nothing like 5 years ago.
3. Pick your seats before you arrive
Went online. Got to choose where you sit. I never did this before.
4. Matinee Prices aren't too bad
Less than 10 bucks a ticket for matinee.
5. Big Screen
Sure, you might have a nice TV at home, but it ain't theater size!
6. Sound System
This was the big factor for me. The surround sound in a theater is fantastic. It changes the experience.
7. Reclining Seats
I am about to get a recliner at my house, but the one at the theater was really nice, too.
8. Nostalgia
For those that used to go to movies frequently ( I used to go 4-5 times a year), going to the movies brings you back to "the good old days."
9. Gets You Out of the House
Better than being on my couch.
10. Don't Buy from the Concession Stand!
Eat and drink before you arrive!
