Beginner's Perspective: 10 Things About Cold Outreach With Loom
I've just started doing cold outreach by sending Loom videos after coming across Emirhan Oruc's content on @10feetstudios" target="_blank">YouTube and Instagram. So I can't speak about any results yet, but here's what I've learned and/or done so far.
1. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it on my first video
2. The premium AI feature on Loom allows you to cut out silences and filler words
It can make you go from six minutes to four and a half. I think you get to use the feature on two videos for free. Probably worth getting the premium version for this.
3. I start with a quick introduction
4. I scroll down their homepage and offer a few suggestions
5. I allow myself time to think since I can cut it out later
Even if I don't get the premium version, I think I can cut out the silences manually.
6. I mention one or more things that I like about their brand or their website
7. I try to personalize it by finding something we may have in common, or a fun fact about me that's related to their brand, or anything else I think of
For example, this wasn't through cold outreach but I was speaking with a Ukrainian brand and I mentioned the fact that I visited Ukraine shortly before the war.
8. I end the recording by saying something like "Feel free to steal these ideas"
9. I also introduce myself real quick in the email itself
I briefly explain what I do and what the benefits are.
